Randolph-Lucas House

Randolph-Lucas HouseThe Randolph-Lucas House, designed by P. Thornton Marye, was built in 1924 for Hollins Randolph, a great great grandson of Thomas Jefferson. Marye also designed the Fox Theatre and Atlanta Terminal Station. This classic Georgian style home, which was featured prominently in Anne Rivers Siddons book, Peachtree Road, is currently owned by the condominium association at 2500 Peachtree Road. In the spring of 2012, the association applied for a demolition permit for the building.

In recognition of the historic status bestowed on the house by the City of Atlanta and its significance as a historic resource in Buckhead, Buckhead Heritage has been hard at work trying to broker a solution to this problem. To this end, Buckhead Heritage, the City of Atlanta, and the condominium association have created the legal framework that will allow for the house to be relocated.
