National Register of Historic Places

Buckhead’s neighborhoods (Brookwood Hills, Peachtree Battle, Peachtree Heights, Tuxedo Park, etc.) are some of the most beautiful in the country.  Buckhead Heritage realizes that many of the residential and commercial structures in Buckhead are worthy of listing on the National Register of Historic Places (the country’s official list of historic buildings, structures, sites, objects, and districts worthy of preservation).

At the local level, Buckhead Heritage serves as a resource  to landowners interested in listing their structures and landscapes on the National Register of Historic Places.

Landowners who list their properties on the National Register may be eligible for specific preservation benefits and incentives but are not restricted in any way by the listing.  Click here for a fact sheet about what the National Register Does and Does Not do.
